Morné Boshoff

Swimming has a unique way of building discipline, confidence, and clarity, and provides a clear sense of progress. It’s an individual sport that often lives within a team setting, where athletes grow not just through competition but through shared purpose and accountability. It’s also a lifelong skill - one that builds confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of personal ownership in and out of the water.

That’s the energy I bring to every lesson. I teach with patience, I listen closely, and I work with swimmers of all ages and levels to help them feel stronger and more at home in the water.

My background includes collegiate swimming at the University of Kentucky and the University of Pittsburgh, where I competed at the NCAA Division I level. I was a national champion in South Africa and represented my country internationally.

Today, I work with the Strawberry Seals Swim Team as a certified USA Swimming coach, supporting pre-senior athletes in their development. I also hold current Red Cross certifications in CPR/AED and Deep Water Lifeguarding, ensuring a high standard of safety in every session.

Whether you’re learning to swim for the first time or refining advanced technique, I combine technical understanding, performance insight, and a deep respect for the process to help each swimmer build real confidence in the water.
