Professional Swim Coach and Learn-to-Swim Instructor
Morné Boshoff
Swimming has a unique manner of building discipline, confidence, and clarity. It provides a clear sense of progress. It’s an individual sport that often lives within a team setting, where athletes grow not just through competition but through shared purpose and accountability. It’s also a lifelong skill — one that fosters self-awareness and personal ownership, in and out of the water.
That’s the energy I bring to every lesson. I teach with patience, listen closely, and work with swimmers of all ages and levels to help them feel stronger and more at home in the water.
My background includes collegiate swimming at the University of Kentucky and the University of Pittsburgh, where I competed at the NCAA Division I level. I was a national champion in South Africa and represented my country internationally.
Today, I coach with the Strawberry Seals Swim Team as a certified USA Swimming coach, supporting pre-senior athletes in their development. I also hold current Red Cross certifications in CPR/AED and Deep Water Lifeguarding, ensuring a high standard of safety in every session.
Whether you’re learning to swim for the first time or refining advanced technique, I combine technical understanding, performance insight, and a deep respect for the process to help each swimmer build real confidence in the water.
We help kids and adults learn to swim by focusing on stroke efficiency right from the start. It’s not just about staying afloat — it’s about feeling comfortable in the water, moving with control, and building a technique that lasts a lifetime.
I offer private swim lessons and at-home instruction across Marin County, including Mill Valley, Corte Madera, San Rafael, Sausalito, Terra Linda, Lucas Valley, Novato, Scott Valley, and San Francisco. Whether you're looking for swim lessons for a child or adult instruction focused on confidence and technique, I bring personalized, expert coaching to your home pool or a designated location.
From beginners building confidence and learning water safety to advanced swimmers refining their stroke, every lesson is tailored to age, ability, and goals. My approach is simple: build strong, confident, and capable swimmers — one lesson at a time.
